Are you ready for a DVSA site visit or disciplinary investigation? This one-day course covers how to implement quality control checks, both direct observation and retesting, how to record, give feedback and review a testers performance.
Course Overview
It is a requirement by DVSA to have a good quality management system in place, regular quality control checks carried out to a suitable standard and a robust MOT administration system.
This intensive one-day training course will equip nominated testers, authorised examiners or site managers with the skills to carry out quality control checks, implement a companywide quality control system, maintain quality control records and carry out your own site visits.
Who should attend?
This qualification has been developed for individuals who would like to carry out quality control checks at a vehicle testing station or MOT Quality Controllers who wish to further their skills.
Entry requirements for the Award in MOT Testing
There are no formal entry requirements but you do need to have experience of MOT testing ideally in an authorised examiner, quality controller, nominated tester or site manager role.

Successful completion of quality control checks course will show you how to implement a quality control system and give you the correct documentation and systems to put this in place at a VTS. If DVSA identify any problems during a site visit or disciplinary investigation, implementing the systems you learn on this course will help reduce the risk of severe enforcement action.
